Well, we have taken everything out of the attic for the new baby's arrival. Everything is washed - just not put away yet. We still need to clean toys and get out other essentials like the swing and bassinet, etc. I am hoping to get a lot of that done this week - considering there are only 5 weeks left until she gets here...that is, if she decides she is not going to come early.
All of her bottles are washed and put away - so that's one less thing to do. I still need to shop for a few things - the most important being a coming home outfit for her.
As I am typing this post, baby girl is kicking me - HARD! I love feeling her move, and it's crazy that in five short weeks, we get to meet this precious little girl who makes it hard for mommy to breathe, who has to run to the potty every three minutes, and who can't get comfortable to sleep!
We are still arguing on names...I still am in love with McKinley, but Jeremy is a fan of Taylor. I sent out a vote via email - and McKinley won 11 to 6, but I don't think that matters to Jeremy. Sounds like this little girl may be named Taylor McKinley. We shall see.
As for Brooke, she is doing absolutely wonderful. She is getting bigger and smarter and more coordinated (thank goodness) by the day! Some of the things she says just cracks me up...
Like yesterday, she told Aunt Wendy that she had to clean up the toys or else Grandma would spank her! Grandma has never laid a hand on that child!! Not sure where she came up with that one!
The other day, she had major attitude, and Jeremy said something to her and Brooke turns around and in the most little girl attitude voice you can think of, she said: "What, Dad?". Jeremy was a little flabbergasted and wasn't sure what to say...Brooke walked away - and Jeremy and I looked at each other and I started to crack up. He didn't think it was so funny...but I did!
When we were swimming at Grandma's house yesterday, Brooke decided that it was time for her to jump in all by herself. She stood at the edge of the pool, and jumped right in. She loved it - and kept doing it - over and over and over again. She is my little water rat for sure! She could live in the pool if I would let her!
